Weber Shandwick Mentors University Students for a Successful TikTok Campaign

At the University of Fribourg, a group of students faced the challenge of presenting a successful TikTok campaign for Agathe, (a Swiss biscuits company) during their semester-long participation in the LSA Junior Agency Award competition.

The Junior Agency Award (JAA) is a university competition for high potentials in marketing communication. Teams of students work on a real-world campaign for a client as part of an elective module. LSA agencies accompany the students and offer practical examples to guide them as they learn how to work with customer requirements, creativity and budget specifications. The award aims to motivate students to actively seek their own solutions and to develop their creative courage.

With guidance from coaches Ilse Viveros from Weber Shandwick Switzerland and Account Directors from other Swiss marketing agencies, students developed the necessary skills for successful communication on social networks and learned about convincing clients with a creative pitch.

Throughout their work on creating this campaign, the students mentored by Weber Shandwick Switzerland (Rafeal Lous, Auriane Freléchoz and Charlotte Debone) experienced first-hand the unique rigor, reality constraints, and collaboration of working on a real project with an actual client – all while receiving valuable mentorship from professional agencies. After many months of hard work, this knowledge enabled them to exceed expectations and eventually lead to success at the prestigious Junior Agency Awards (JAA) ceremony.

At Weber Shandwick Switzerland, we take pride in being able to continue our constant pursuit of excellence by inspiring young talent with educational opportunities such as this one – allowing them to develop practical skills that will come in handy when they join our ranks or any other Swiss communications firm in the near future.
